Campingaz Twister Plus Gas Stove
The Campingaz Twister Plus gas stove comes in at number 8 on the list of top 10 camping stoves. At the time of writing this, the stove has received 25 reviews from previous buyers. Of those 25, 22 are 4 and 5 star reviews which I think is pretty impressive.
It is a small stove that comes in a hard-wearing plastic case, it utilises a Campingaz cylinder as its base once it has been attached which helps keep the storage space required down. Another stove that would well suit Festival goes, hikers, backpackers and fisherman.

We really liked this little gas stove, mainly owed to the fact that it is a compact and ingenious design that you could use for almost anything! The stove itself is really small and packs away smaller still. It comes with a translucent durable plastic case that ensures the stove does not get damaged in your backpack. It only weighs 274g in the case which is perfect for anyone trying to keep their weight down.
The Twister Plus operates using the Campingaz CV Plus cylinders; CV270 Plus, CV300 Plus & CV470 Plus. It can run for up to 2 hours on the larger of the 3 cylinders. The stove features an Easy Clic cartridge connection which makes the cylinder really easy to fit to the stove. When attached, the gas cylinder becomes the base of the stove which saves more space. As per Campingaz’s test it is capable of boiling 1 litre of water in 3 minutes 45 seconds, I had nearly the same result when I tested also.
You can tell that a lot of thought has gone into the design of this stove, it has 3 folding blades at the top of the stove which are what your pot or kettle will balance on, the edges of the blades are serrated for extra grip in wet conditions and they also double up as wind deflectors. Another well thought feature is the heat plate above the control knob, it protects your fingers from being burnt when you change the heat setting.
The final verdict? Love it! I don’t think for a minute you would be disappointed if you spent your hard earned money on this stove, it truly is special.
