Campingaz 3 in 1 Stove, Grill & Griddle R Version
The Campingaz 3 in 1 Stove with griddle and grill has not long been on the market and so has not yet picked up many reviews from previous buyers. But this has not prevented it from achieving an overall average score of 4.7 out of 5 stars (correct when written). A completely fresh design to an already very saturated market place. It is really nice to see Campingaz (or Camping Gaz as they are sometime referred to as) coming out with something different.
Okay, so before we get in to the review we should probably have a look at the general technical specification:
|Boil time||8 minutes|
|Runtime||R907 cylinder = 25 hours
CV470 cylinder = 4 hours 50 minutes
|Weight||5.6kg (excluding gas)|
|Carry case included?||No - but folds down and has a handle for easy transport|
48.5 x 36 x 19.5cm
|Ideal for||Camping, caravanning, motorhoming, beach visits, picnics|
I am always on the look out for something a little bit different, and as you can imagine when I came across the Campingaz 3 in 1 Stove with griddle and grill I was intrigued and simple had to try it out.
Just scroll back up the page and take another look at the picture. See that? It has a hob, with a lay on griddle and grill. You can literally cook pretty much anything all on this one clever little stove. You can use the hob for your beans and for boiling water, the grill to cook your sausage and bacon and the griddle to fry your eggs. Due to the fact that these components are removable, if you are going away and just want to use the stove, you can simply leave the other bits at home. It also makes it really easy to clean because the hob doesn’t get too grubby, but if the griddle and grill do you can just take them off and put them in a bowl of hot water.
It folds up really neatly in to a little stumpy oval shape with the handle poking out of the side. This allows you to pick it up and carry it around easily.
As with all Camping gaz stoves it is blue. It uses the Piezo ignition so no need to worry about remembering the matches and fighting the wind, it all happens at the press of a button. It attaches to a separate Camping Gaz bottle (that you must buy separately) that contain a large amount of gas. Using the largest R907 cylinder the stove can run for an impressive 25 hours.
So to summarise, if you are looking for an all in solution for your camp cooking problems then consider this stove as an option. It is friendly and affordable and will serve you for more than just your camping trips.
